3 Easy-Peasy Life Tips that You Should Follow
What’s Up, What’s Up!
I think this week was pretty confusing, while everything moved swiftly work-wise, my emotions went through some upheaval. All thanks to the travel hangover and this unending pandemic.
I read books, eat good food, watch inspirational Youtube videos and listen to good music to help with that.

3 Life Tips, I realised during my travels that YOU should definitely think about
Talk to Strangers:
I definitely do not mean that you talk to random people, off the bat.
But, do speak with like-minded people - someone who you can learn from or help and make friends with. This will get you acquainted with several interesting stories and cultures. For instance, when I went on a European cruise before the onset of the Pandemic, I had the opportunity to talk to various people.
There was an Asian-American family who had been to 7+ holiday cruises, a group of Africans who taught me their signature dance moves or a fearless solo traveller who beheld a bucket of untold stories. On my behalf, these foreigners came to know a lot more about the Indian ethnicity and life than they had ever before.
The fact that I remember their stories and existence even after 2 years, indicates the importance of communicating with strangers. It’s a great essence of life - being able to talk to a range of people.
Poet Adrian Mitchell once said, “I want to speak, to sing to total strangers. It's my way of talking to the world.”
Stop having an Online Life:
Yes, you must have heard this a million times by now. But it’s true!
Being in my early 20s, I too, am a GEN-Z, however, I do believe that the internet needs to be largely restricted. Using it in a balanced manner will work wonders in your favour, while you might just miss out on life as we know it, if used extensively.
During my four days trip to Kalimpong, I went on a complete social media detox. Going online for hardly two hours throughout the journey, helped me utilise every second I had and not spend it on my phone, which is always there.
Research indicates that the vastness of knowledge that we acquire from our social media every day, makes us indecisive and unsure. It shortens our attention span and leads to the feeling of inferiority.
Go With The Flow, Don’t Plan Stuff Out:
Since, none of us know what the future holds, why not live life, one day at a time?
More often than not, my plans have gone to the bin, while travelling. In fact, this is something that happens with us almost every day. It makes us feel depressed or hopeless, having no path to take after our illustrious plans have failed.
Hence, the mantra really should be to ‘Carpe Diem’. Focus on the Now. You will enjoy more and leave no space for any disappointment.
